Disappointed.

It has come to my attention recently that there have been a number of my printables/images that have been altered to remove any reference to my blog and are being passed off as someone else's work. This makes me sad on a number of levels. So, if you're tempted to alter these images to remove origin or authorship think twice (unless you want to print out to display in your home - I'm fine with that), these are copyrighted - when the label says "Spiritually Speaking Printable - Copyrighted - Do Not Alter" - and to do so is dishonest, and I don't want to become so disheartened that I stop altogether.

But I am more than happy for you to print these out to use for personal purposes, but if you are sharing on the web, please do not remove my blog address and link back to the original post.

LOTS of LOVE to those who do use the printables on here with integrity:)
~Sarah

  1. Hi Sarah. Thanks for contacting me about the altered image I had repined. I had no idea it had been altered and that you were the original creator. I have corrected this on my Facebook page as you have requested. Do not become discouraged. Your work is lovely and very inspirational and it is helping a lot of people. Don't let the thieves take over. Keep going! Glenda

  2. Such a shame! Please know that I have altered nothing. I have linked pieces on my blog right back to yours. I think they are lovely and want to share.

  3. Please don't stop - your blog is such an inspiration to me. I have used some of your quotes with a link underneath the image. I can't find your image of "You are Enough." Did you do one like that? Here is a post I did this week with a link to your blog. Thank you! http://kindergartenbasics.blogspot.com/2012/08/kindergarten-lunchboxes-need-kid-jokes.html

  5. Although only visiting your blog for the first time (so not ever having 'borrowed' any of your pictures or quotes), I was disheartened to read this as the first post on your blog. Although I can appreciate (as an artist myself) how much it can bug me when someone copies my work, I tend to stand back and take a bigger look at a picture of the whole thing and realise that this immitation should be look upon as a compliment. When people eventually see the quote attributed to you (which they eventually will), they will see that the words were yours to start with. So rather than be bitter and make a post on your blog which would give someone a view of you that you might not like, maybe the best thing to do would be to 'turn the other cheek' and be generous of spirit.

I'm not critisising, but I am trying to speak to your heart. Don't let the small stuff grind you down into being something you wouldn't want to be seen as.

  6. So sorry this has happened, I remember a time when your email and that of another one of your bloggers changed my mind and made me feel better about things. I hope all of ours who DO appreciate you DO help you see things better.

  7. I do love your work. Serves as an inspiration, gives me motivation, that is why I post them too in my FB wall to share to others too... But have not altered any images...
Keep it up! Have a nice day and God Bless!

    1. Sounds like you're one of the 99.9999% of people who stop by here who use the quotes for the purposes they were intended. Thanks so much:):)
