February 2012 Visiting Teaching Message - Guardians of the Hearth

For March's Visiting Teaching Message, click HERE

This months VT message is entitled 'Guardians of the Hearth'. It talks about the woman's role in the home, and that 'no other role comes so close to divinity as that of nurturing your children'. 

IDEA 1

I really loved the scriptures that went along with the message, particularly Alma 56:46-48 which I'm sure is very familiar to you, where the stripling warriors recount the effect their mothers had on them - what a gift that would be, for every child to have a mother who knew God, and lived a life framed in faith - so I've done a handout based on that for this month.

**Update

I created this FREE printable, just put it in  a frame and use a dry erase marker to change up the message each day, a great idea to increase love and appreciation in the home. I thought this would be a cute 'valentines' gift for your sisters, as you can pick up a frame at the dollar store and pair it with a dry erase marker form there too.... and it would tie in with the message too.
