It Will All Work Out

I came across this lovely creation today, and it brightened my day:)

"It Will All Work Out"
~Gordon B. Hinckley~

I think I'm adopting this saying as my new mantra, because it's always true.

Seeing Everything Else

One of my favorite quotes....

"I believe in Christ like I believe in the sun, not just because I see it, but because by it I can see everything else."
~C.S. Lewis~

How to be Happy!

Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others... By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves.”

He Knows

I came across this today, and didn't want to wait until tomorrow to share it:)

Something Better

"When God takes something from your hands, He is only opening them for something better."

Tuesday Tell All - 5 Words

What 5 Words Matter Most To You, and Why?
Pick five words that matter the most to you and share why they do.....

My five words today would be:
1. Mother. I love being a mother, I can't imagine me without my children anymore, they are the best parts of who I am.
2. Wife. I also love being a wife, I think it helps when you have a good husband. I feel like these two things, being a wife and a mother, really help me think and act more selflessly than anything else has ever done.
3. Love. Loving and being loved changes everything.
4. Peace. Because even when life throws you curve balls, even major ones, you can still have this gift and know that everything will be okay in the end.
5. Faith. This is the stuff miracles are wrought of, specifically faith in the Savior. I wouldn't feel how I do about being a mother, wife, love or peace without Him, or it.

What are your words?

A Bright Future

"Your future is as bright as your faith"
~President Thomas S. Monson~

But, What a Day!

“One's life is brevity compared to eternity - like being dropped off by a parent for a day at school. But what a day!”
(Neal A. Maxwell, Ensign, Nov.1985)

“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it"
(Psalms 118:24)

We have a choice as to how feel about our day, so we may aswell choose gladness!

Isn't it Strange......

ISN'T IT STRANGE?
Isn't it strange
how a 20 dollar bill
seems like such a large amount
when you donate it to church,
but such a small amount when you go shopping?

Isn't it strange how
2 hours seem so long
when you're at church,
and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that
you can't find a word to say when you're praying
but..
you have no trouble
thinking what to talk about with a friend?
Isn't it strange
how difficult and boring
it is to read one chapter of the Bible
but how easy it is
to read 100 pages of a popular novel?
Isn't it strange
how everyone wants front-row-tickets
to concerts or games
but they do whatever is possible
to sit at the last row in Church?
Isn't it strange
how we need to know about an event for Church
2-3 weeks before the day
so we can include it in our agenda,
but we can adjust it for other events
in the last minute?
Isn't it strange
how difficult it is
to learn a fact about God
to share it with others;
but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend
and repeat gossip?
Isn't it strange
how everyone wants a place
in heaven but...
they don't want to believe, do, or say anything
to get there?
Isn't it strange
how we believe everything
that magazines and newspapers say but....
we question
the words in the Bible?

Isn't it strange
how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?

IT'S STRANGE ISN'T IT?
Now that you've read this message,
will you forward it to anybody?

Divine Signatures

"Sometimes, the Lord sends His blessings in such a highly unusual, dramatic, or precisely timed manner that it's as if the Lord 'signs' the blessing personally so we know with a certainty that it came from Him."
(Gerald Lund, 'Divine Signatures: The Confirming Hand of God')
