The World is Still a Beautiful Place

“Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.”

― Kurt Vonnegut

A Beautiful Place

"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal away your sweetness. Take pride that even though the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place."

Keep Walking!

"Don't give up. Don't you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead... You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come."

Get to Tomorrow

Just because today is a terrible day doesn't mean tomorrow won't be the best day of your life. You just gotta get there.

Fairy Tales

“Fairy tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.”

Looking for the Open Door

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

It Will All Work Out

I came across this lovely creation today, and it brightened my day:)

I think I'm adopting this saying as my new mantra, because it's always true.

Things Will Work Out!

I've said these words many a time when I get discouraged about something! In the last week our AC and Furnace have gone kaput, I've needed a bunch dental work and even our vacuum cleaner died - I just figure that this means that goods things are coming my way:). Anyway, with all these unforeseen expenses I have been chanting 'things will work out' like a lunatic to myself, and I'm sure they will, because they always do. Anyway, I came across this quote the other week which is perfect for when those discouraging times come. Enjoy.

So, all together now........

"Keep trying,
Be believing,
Be happy,
Don't get discouraged,
Things will work out!"

We Must Not Lose Hope

"We must not lose hope. Hope is an anchor to the souls of men. Satan would have us cast away that anchor. In this way he can bring discouragement and surrender. But we must not lose hope. The Lord is pleased with every effort, even the tiny, daily ones in which we strive to be more like Him. Though we may see that we have far to go on the road to perfection, we must not give up hope."

--Ezra Taft Benson, "A Mighty Change of Heart," Ensign, Oct. 1989, 2
